XBOX Announces XBOX Game Pass

Microsoft has just announced Xbox Game Pass, an all you can eat game library for a fixed monthly fee.

The gaming subscription service is due this spring (although Preview testers are trying a reduced version of the service now) and will give you 100 Xbox One and backward compatible Xbox 360 games for £7.99/$9.99 per month.

It’s not a streaming service though, games are downloaded directly rather than streamed, but that access to an unlimited library for a tiny monthly fee does have that Netflix-y feel. All the Xbox One games on the service will also include a discount if you want to buy them permanently.

New games will arrive every month with Microsoft promising this as a sample of games on offer: Halo 5: Guardians, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Saints Row 4 Re-Elected, NBA 2K16, Mad Max, LEGO Batman, Mega Man Legacy Collection, Terraria, Payday 2, SoulCalibur II, and Tekken Tag 2.

One low monthly price.

Enjoy unlimited access to over one hundred great Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles, including fan-favourites like Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, NBA 2K16 and LEGO Batman. With so many games to download and discover, your Xbox experience will never be the same.

Always something new to play.

Play games across multiple genres, from action/adventure and family favourites to shooters, sport, puzzle games and more. And with new titles added every month, you’ll always have a wide selection of great games to choose from.

Download and play in full-fidelity.

Download games directly to your console and play online or offline in full-fidelity, without any streaming or connectivity issues. Whether it’s a new story to immerse yourself in or an old journey you’re eager to revisit, experience your games as they were intended.

Discounts on Xbox One games.

Love an Xbox One game and want to own it? Interested in an add-on or Season Pass for a title you’re playing in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue? Save an exclusive 20% on Xbox One game purchases and 10% on all related add-ons, but only while the base game is currently in the catalogue.

Greetings Space Cadets, I'm Dr Ravenholm, (or DR Yuill-Kirkwood to people that know me). Welcome to my site Transparent-Aluminium.net to the uninitiated our name is in reference to one of my favourite things, Star Trek. My site was created mainly to showcase my photographic work, and my random expeditions and adventures. Other than my photography I love movies, and gaming on my Xbox and reading. Some of my favourites being Star Trek, Lord Of The Rings, Serenity, Firefly (Jewel Staite being the most beautiful girl in the verse), Mass Effect, Halo, and Skyrim, I could go on.
