Firefly stars Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk spoof themselves in exclusive Con Man trailer
When cult sci-fi TV show Firefly was cancelled more than a decade ago, actor Alan Tudyk could have become a tragi-comic figure, increasingly in the shadow of his former co-star Nathan Fillion. Instead Tudyk appeared in a slew of films and TV shows and then, earlier this year, launched a hugely successful Indiegogo campaign for a Web series called Con Man. In the show, Tudyk plays an actor from a cancelled cult SyFy show who becomes a tragi-comic figure, increasingly in the shadow of his more successful former co-star (portrayed by Nathan Fillion!!!).
Con Man will premier on Vimeo this September and its trailer (which also features Seth Green, Henry Rollins, Milo Ventimiglia, and a certain Joss Whedon, among others) screened earlier today at the show’s Comic-Con panel.
