Everything’s Shiny: Jewel Staite Is Slated To Join DC’s Legendary Heroes On The CW
The CW’s newest addition to the DC family is about to get a blast from the past… or rather, the future.
The DC CW-verse is about to get a lot bigger. The new series Legends of Tomorrow features a time travelling group of heroes led by a man out of time known as Rip Hunter.
The series is set to combine heroes from both Arrow and The Flash including, the White Canary, Firestorm, the Atom, Captain Cold, Heat Wave, and the universe’s newest heroes, Hawkman and Hawkgirl.
The network’s newest series is set to premiere later this month, and will also be bringing yet another very familiar face with it. Nerd darling, Jewel Staite, better known as Firefly’s Kaylee Fry, is set to join the cast as one of season one’s biggest guest stars.
Staite is set to join the cast as a character from the future of Oliver Queen’s side of the universe named Rachel Turner.
Turner has been described as being a robotics and tech genius who is working to make the world a better place, but who’s inventions are ultimately stolen by the Legend’s current arch-nemesis, the sinister Vandal Savage.
Turner is far from the only genius in the universe and some believe that Staite’s character will hold family ties to one of the other heroes that has already been introduced on the network. As of now Staite is slated to show up in season one’s episode 10, so you’re going to want to make sure you keep up with the Legends.
Legends of Tomorrow is set to premiere when Arrow and The Flash pick back up, Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. on the CW.
