Maybe it’s the leaps in technology. Perhaps it’s the facts that so many fans have grown up to find places of power within the movie making industry. It could be part of our ongoing fascination with geek culture. Or it just might be that writers and producers have discovered what comic book lovers have long known – these four panel pictographs offer some amazing characters and equally engaging story lines. Whatever the reason, we’ve seen a major influence of superhero movies in the last few years, the creative elements ability to render them as realistically as possible making even the most casual observe eager for more.
But it wasn’t always this way. As you will see below, there were times when Hollywood tried its hand at bringing our favourite pen and ink icons to life – and they weren’t always successful. Or better yet, they weren’t always able to do the larger than life entities on either side of the moral compass justice.
