Stan Lee 1922-2018
Greeting Space Cadets, as sad day today as it was announced that the creative genius and legendary comic book author Stan Lee passed aged 95.
Stan Lee was the co-creator of iconic characters including Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Daredevil and the X-Men.
As a writer and editor charged with keeping multiple stories going at the same time, Stan Lee wove them together into a seamless fictional world where Iron Man could join forces with the Fantastic Four, and Captain America could find himself a wedding guest alongside Doctor Strange. The Marvel Universe he created crossed from page to screen in a series of TV and movie adaptations and changed the face of popular culture.
Stan Lee was the master of cameo appearing in most just about all Marvel movies and many TV shows.
Stan Lee was very engaged with his fans often referring to them as True Believers and ending his stories with an energetic Excelsior!
Celebrities and fans have been sharing across social media how Lee and his work affected them.

Born before Edwin Hubble discovered the expanding universe, he ultimately created an expanding universe of his own – one of scientifically literate superheroes such as Spider-Man , The Hulk, Iron Man, & Black Panther.

Stan Lee created a universe where, if a character was beloved enough, they could never really die.
Now THAT’S thinking ahead.
Thanks for so much of my life. You’ll never not be in it.

Hi heroes this is Stan Lee coming at you, I want you to know Marvel has always been, and always will be a reflection of the world right outside our window.
That world may change and evolve but the one thing that will never change is the way we tell our stories of heroism.
Those stories have room for everyone, regardless of their race, gender, religion or colour of their skin.
The only things we don’t have room for are hatred intolerance and bigotry.
That man next to you he’s your brother that woman over there she’s her sister, and that kid walking by ‘hey who knows he may have the proportionate strength of a spider’.
We’re all part of one big family the human family and we all come together in the body of Marvel.
– Stan Lee
