Greetings Space Cadets, today I walked up the Old Man of Storr, the location from the movie Prometheus, and my reasons for this expedition to Skye. It was quite the climb a lot steeper than I had thought from Google Earth and all of the trees on the map leading up to it gave been destroyed. Part of the climb reminded me of ‘The Ascent’ an Episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine where Quark and Odo are stranded and have to reach the top of a mountain to call for help, Odo estimated six hours before reaching the top of the mountain. But Odo is wrong. As they clear the trees, they come to the edge of a steep cliff overlooking a deep valley. The mountain is actually days away. This was my thought when clearing the first steep clime what look like 20 minuets once you reach the the first steep climb, it opened out to and hour away.
