Those First Shots
Greeting Space Cadets, today I thought would share something that happens to me every week. Every other time I am out with my camera or shooting something in the house the first shot in ever set looks like this photo below. This is for one simple reason whenever I start shooting I always take out my camera, switch it on point it at my subject and click so as to take just a quick general shot so as to get an idea of the light and composition and how my cameras sensor will process the image. However every other time I take that first photo the shutter goes click and then nothing. No sound of the mirror dropping back in the place and then the sudden realisation that I am still in manual mode and set for a long exposers from whatever I was shooting the day or night before. So then I have to wait for the exposer to end often pointing the camera down while I wait. Then and reset my setting and take that first test shot again.
But as I do not delete anything, saving all the good photos and all the photos that didn’t worked, I have many photos like this at the start of half my shoots and thought I would share one of them with you all today as sometimes they produce some interesting images.
