Greetings Space Cadets, I’ve been working on a new 3D Card Popup design, take a look at my latest paper prototype of my Forrest Silhouette. The prototype is in paper so to light passes through the 8 layers a lot more than the final card design will.

The Forrest Silhouette is composed of 8 layers and after drawing each layer in Photoshop I printed each layer as a faint outline and slowly cut them out. However, the prototype is not an exact representation of the Forrest Silhouette master as the paper was not strong enough to stay intact for the smaller branches hopefully the card version will be sturdier.
As an extra feature in my Forrest Silhouette I have mirrored the several layers, that in silhouette through tracing paper form the reflections in the lake, and because it me it had to have Chickens in there as well.

In the final creation and if I move in to any small production of these I will be looking to place them in deep frames with integrated LED’s to give your Forrest a that awesome and eerie look when you display it.
