Sunday Night Stroll – Exploring Minecraft Middle Earth – Part 2
“Today we are going explore the world that the MCME community have been creating. You can learn more about them and explore yourself below.
On MCME they are recreating J.R.R. Tolkien’s world of Middle-earth in Minecraft. Founded by q220 on 10th October 2010, it is one of the longest running Minecraft building communities.
Start as an Adventurer in Bilbo and Frodo Baggins’ home of Bag End and immerse yourself in Middle-earth. Delve into the depths of Moria, traverse the tower of Isengard, and check out the citadel of Minas Tirith. You can participate by building in a job where you are supervised by a Foreman, or you can practise your building on a theme plot, using /theme.
The map is 29,000 by 30,000 blocks and it was created in WorldPainter and WorldMachine making an area of 870 square kilometres – the same size of Dallas or Fort Worth in Texas!
