Since losing Gravy in March, Casserole has only had me to keep her company. We spend all day together with Casserole sitting cuddled in on my shoulder. She calls for me as soon as I am out of sight. We have also developed new routines where Casserole and I sit on the kitchen floor at bedtime where I feed her sweetiecorn before bed, and at warm milk time, she has to have a nibble of a Rich Tea biscuit.
Now it’s time for Casserole to get some new friends and make her own flock so today we welcome Butter, Roasty & Stir-fry, our new girls.
Stir-fry is a Isa Brown and is the oldest of the three and looks to be a hand full as she makes her place in the new flock.
Butter is a Golden Speckled and the middle chicken and has already started making little purring noises.
Roasty is a Blacktail and is the youngest little baby and reminds me of little BBQ and looks to need the most looking after at the bottom of the pecking order and after giving her a hug she tried to jump back up into my arms again.
