Euro Truck Simulator 2 | Ep. 11 – Somewhere in Europe… Progress Is Happening

Back on the open roads, and somehow… still moving forward.

This episode feels like one of those long-haul journeys where every mile counts—but not always for the reasons you’d expect. Progress is happening, yes… just occasionally sideways, sometimes on two wheels, and often accompanied by the distant echo of chat shouting “#blamegary.”

🛣️ About the Game

Euro Truck Simulator 2 drops you into the driver’s seat of a long-haul trucker navigating the vast road networks of Europe. It’s a game of endurance, precision, and planning—where every delivery matters, and every wrong turn can cost you time, money, and sanity.

From bustling cities to quiet countryside highways, the journey is as important as the destination. And when things go wrong… they tend to go very wrong.

🧭 Where We Are in the Journey

Episode 11 continues our ambitious anticlockwise journey across Europe—a slow but determined loop that’s gradually pushing us further north.

We pick things up just south of Budapest, already deep into the run, with the goal of extending our reach through central and eastern Europe. By the end of this episode, we’ve carved a path all the way up to Lithuania—setting the stage for the next leg of the journey even further north.

Progress? Absolutely.

Clean driving? Not so much.

⚠️ What Happens in This Episode

The journey begins in Szeged, just south of Budapest, with Mr Smith joining us for the ride as we set off north toward Banská Bystrica. At first, it feels like a steady return to form—easing back into the rhythm of the road after a slightly cursed start filled with technical hiccups and stream deck confusion.

But it doesn’t take long before the cracks begin to show.

Small bumps turn into clipped corners. Missed junctions lead to last-second corrections. And before long, the counter starts ticking upward—crashes stacking one after another as the night settles into a chaotic groove. Thirteen accidents by the end… though not all of them go the way you’d expect.

Somewhere along the route, what should have been a routine delivery turns into something far more surreal. A bizarre incident sends the truck tipping onto two wheels, sliding through a petrol station in a moment that feels less like trucking and more like a stunt show gone wrong. And yet—somehow—the lorry regains balance. A miraculous save, equal parts skill and pure luck.

From there, the journey presses on into Poland, carrying what might be the most oddly specific cargo of the night: little Timmy’s heart. Unfortunately, it’s being transported in what feels like the slowest truck imaginable, turning the delivery into a test of patience as much as driving ability. The tension builds—not from speed, but from the constant sense that anything could go wrong at any moment.

And often, it does.

Invisible obstacles seem to appear out of nowhere. Recovery attempts are blocked by what feels like unseen forces. Damage climbs higher and higher until the truck is practically held together by sheer willpower. It’s the kind of chaos that only Euro Truck Simulator 2 can deliver—where realism meets absolute nonsense.

All the while, chat is right there in the passenger seat.

The now-infamous “#blamegary” resurfaces repeatedly, becoming the go-to explanation for every crash, missed turn, and questionable decision. The jukebox spins up again, unleashing the relentless “tick tock” track that quickly embeds itself into everyone’s brain. By the time the Bavaria Edition song rolls around, reactions range from laughter to mild despair.

Between deliveries, the stream takes on a life of its own. Pokémon-style “contracts” play out in chat, turning imaginary battles into absurd mini-stories—one ending in a peaceful tea party, another collapsing into failure with a squeaky hammer. It’s chaotic, unpredictable, and somehow perfectly in sync with what’s happening on the road.

Eventually, the final stretch carries us into Lithuania for the third delivery of the night. It’s not a clean run, not by any stretch—but it’s progress. Real, tangible progress.

And as the engines wind down, the journey doesn’t end quietly—we pass the energy on with a raid into OurChickenLife, sending the chaos onward into another corner of the streaming world.

🌒 Closing Thoughts

The road north is open, the truck is… mostly intact, and the journey continues.

Next stop: deeper into the unknown, starting from Lithuania. More miles, more risks, and—if history tells us anything—more chaos waiting just around the bend.

Until then… keep the engine running.
