Crime Scene Cleaner | Ep. 13 – I’ll Just Clean This—Why Is It Worse Now?
⚠️ A Hotel Full of Secrets and Stains
We’re back on cleanup duty in Crime Scene Cleaner, and this time the job feels less like janitorial work and more like surviving a horror movie after everyone else has already lost. Act 2 throws us straight into White Peaks — a secluded retreat where every corridor hides another disaster waiting to be discovered.
At first glance, it looked like a standard clean-up contract. A few bodies, a little blood, maybe the occasional overturned chair. Instead, the deeper we pushed into the hotel, the stranger things became. Locked security systems, themed rooms that felt increasingly unsettling, and enough missing rubbish to drive anyone slowly insane turned this stream into one of the weirdest clean-up sessions yet.
And somehow… it only kept getting worse.
🩸 About Crime Scene Cleaner
Crime Scene Cleaner throws players into the grimy underworld of mob clean-up operations. Instead of playing the criminal, you’re the unfortunate soul hired to erase the evidence after everything has already gone horribly wrong.
That means dragging bodies, scrubbing blood from walls, restoring destroyed furniture, and trying not to think too hard about what actually happened before you arrived.
What makes the game so entertaining is the balance between horror, dark comedy, and absolute chaos. One moment you’re carefully restoring a luxury suite, and the next you’re fighting physics while trying to throw a corpse into the back of a van without launching it into a wall.
🌌 Where We Are in the Journey
Episode 13 takes us deeper into Act 2 as we begin exploring the White Peaks hotel level, also known as Secluded Retreat. By this point in the series, the jobs have become much larger, more complex, and far stranger than the earlier missions.
This isn’t just cleaning a room anymore. Entire sections of the hotel are locked down, the scale of destruction is massive, and there are growing hints that something deeply disturbing happened inside these walls before we arrived.
The deeper we go into Act 2, the more Crime Scene Cleaner starts feeling like a mystery hidden beneath layers of bloodstains and broken furniture.
🔥 What Happens in This Episode
The stream opened with the community already in chaos thanks to callbacks to the infamous “cheese song,” but the mood shifted quickly once White Peaks came into view. The hotel immediately gave off that unmistakable feeling that something had gone catastrophically wrong long before the cleaner arrived.
At first, progress was slow. The lockdown system had sealed parts of the retreat, forcing us to wander through dark corridors and strange themed rooms trying to restore power and unlock doors. Every new hallway seemed to reveal another disaster zone filled with destroyed androids, scattered rubbish, and bodies awkwardly wedged into impossible places.
And naturally, the game’s physics immediately became the real enemy.
Bodies refused to cooperate, furniture blocked every movement, and several attempts to throw corpses cleanly into the van failed in spectacular fashion. At one point it became genuinely impressive just how consistently nothing landed where it was supposed to. Meanwhile, bullet casings and tiny pieces of rubbish continued hiding in the most absurd corners imaginable, turning every room into a scavenger hunt.
As the hotel slowly opened up, the bizarre atmosphere only got stranger. There were suspicious themed rooms, alien-inspired décor, hidden switches, and one particularly cursed “space room” featuring a light puzzle that somehow unlocked despite nobody being entirely sure how it worked. Even now, I’m not convinced we solved it intentionally.
Then came one of the standout discoveries of the night — a hidden secret chamber containing an enormous demonic duck statue. Because apparently this hotel wasn’t unsettling enough already.
Once the major exploration was done, the real clean-up operation finally began. Room by room, we started restoring the retreat piece by piece. Android parts were cleared away, furniture was reset into place, and endless bloodstains were scrubbed from carpets, walls, and floors while chat spiraled into increasingly ridiculous conversations about themed hotels, microwaved Scotch eggs, and my apparently questionable cooking history.
The community energy was incredible throughout the stream. We were joined by not one, not two, but three raids during the session. flyingfox21 arrived from a Fallout 4 stream, allhisglory brought the Farming Simulator crowd with him, and fellow COGG member kingironblood dropped in after streaming Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Every raid sent chat into another wave of jokes, stories, and complete nonsense that somehow perfectly matched the chaos unfolding in-game.
Music and AI madness added even more insanity to the night. One of the custom jukebox tracks, L’Amour au Lube, turned the clean-up operation into a deeply cursed romantic anthem about slippery floors and mops while AIDA continued unleashing bizarre commentary and random events into chat.
But the true final boss of the stream wasn’t the hotel.
It was a missing cushion.
After cleaning nearly the entire retreat, we spent roughly thirty minutes searching every possible corner of the hotel trying to locate the final missing object needed for completion. In the end, it was exactly where we thought it would be all along — which somehow made missing it even worse.
By the time the stream ended, White Peaks was finally starting to resemble a functioning hotel again… although there’s still plenty left lurking inside those halls.
To close out the night, we raided over into OurChickenLife and carried the chaos into another stream.

🕯️ Until the Next Cleanup
White Peaks may be cleaner than when we arrived, but something about that hotel still feels wrong. There are still mysteries hiding behind locked doors, stains buried in the carpets, and probably another missing cushion waiting to ruin my evening.
Until next time… keep the mop ready. You never know what the next job will uncover.
