Red Dead Redemption II | Ep. 13 – The West Takes Its Due, One Way or Another
The frontier pushes forward. Tough choices, shifting loyalties, and a world that doesn’t wait for anyone.
Even before Arthur Morgan set foot back into the dust and chaos of the American frontier, this stream already felt cursed. Discord collapsed at the worst possible moment, controllers refused to cooperate, and audio issues turned the opening minutes into a full-on wrestling match with technology itself. Somewhere in the middle of it all, one phrase became the unofficial law of the land for the evening: #blamegary.
But despite the rough start, the ride into Red Dead Redemption II still delivered exactly the kind of unpredictable Wild West energy these streams thrive on. Between horse thefts, bounty hunters, hidden corners of the map, and constant chat chaos, this shorter episode still managed to feel like another messy, cinematic chapter in Arthur Morgan’s journey.
⚠️ About the Game
Red Dead Redemption II throws players into the fading days of the outlaw era. You step into the boots of Arthur Morgan, a hardened member of the Van der Linde Gang, as the group struggles to survive against federal agents, bounty hunters, rival gangs, and the relentless march of civilisation.
What makes the game unforgettable is how alive the world feels. One minute you’re riding peacefully through forests and mountains, and the next you’re caught in a desperate gunfight in a muddy field with chaos exploding in every direction. Every town, stranger, and mission feels like part of a living frontier slowly slipping away.
🌌 Where We Are in the Journey
By Episode 13, the gang is deep into the tangled tensions surrounding the Grays and the Braithwaites. Arthur and the crew are trying to keep themselves afloat through increasingly risky jobs while exploring more of the frontier beyond the safer early-game regions.
This part of the story feels like the calm before something far bigger erupts. Trust is thin, money never stretches far enough, and every mission seems to leave the gang wondering who is really manipulating who. At the same time, there are still unexplored parts of the map calling from the distance, giving these quieter moments a real sense of adventure beneath the growing danger.
🔥 What Happens in This Episode
This stream may have been shorter than usual, but the frontier wasted absolutely no time throwing problems at Arthur Morgan — and at Dr Ravenholm himself.
The night began with pure technical disaster. Discord being down created a domino effect of issues before the stream had even fully started. Controller configurations refused to save properly, AIDA errors kept appearing, and the Corsair HS80 MAX headset became one of the night’s greatest villains as audio constantly cut in and out whenever sound levels dipped. Between the mounting frustration and chat immediately turning “#blamegary” into the running joke of the evening, the stream opened with the kind of chaotic energy that somehow made everything even funnier.
Once the dust settled, Arthur jumped into Horse Flesh for Dinner, dragging the gang deeper into the feud between the Grays and Braithwaites. What began as a tense horse theft quickly turned into one of the stream’s funniest moments. After all the sneaking, calming nervous horses, and awkward fumbling to avoid accidentally shooting valuable livestock, the promised payout turned out to be painfully disappointing. The mission had been sold as a massive payday worth thousands, only for the gang to walk away feeling completely scammed for a few hundred dollars instead. Chat shared Arthur’s outrage immediately.
From there, the stream shifted toward the far more dangerous Magicians for Sport mission. The hunt for bounty hunters hiding near Braithwaite Manor brought a much darker atmosphere as Arthur tracked enemies through the woods before things exploded into a frantic cornfield shootout. Visibility disappeared between the rows of crops, enemies kept vanishing into the darkness, and confusion quickly turned into panicked gunfire. It created some genuinely cinematic moments as Dr Ravenholm tried desperately to work out where the next shot was coming from while chat added fuel to the chaos.
Throughout the stream, the community kept the atmosphere alive even while technical problems tried their best to derail everything. Happy_cat_lady, FlyingFox21, thecollector31, and others filled chat with jokes, music requests, tea debates, jump scares, and endless teasing. Meanwhile, the Pokémon mini-games running alongside the stream somehow became their own parallel adventure, with viewers hunting Cleffa and Corvisquire while Arthur dealt with bounty hunters and stolen horses.
As the night slowed down, Arthur headed north to uncover one of the final undiscovered sections of the map. Those quieter exploration moments gave the stream a different feeling entirely — the kind of lonely frontier wandering that Red Dead Redemption II does so well. Dr Ravenholm speculated about hidden regions, invisible boundaries, and future adventures waiting somewhere beyond the horizon.
Of course, no trip through the frontier stays peaceful for long. A brief encounter with the wrong armed strangers ended in an avoidable death, providing one final reminder that the Wild West punishes mistakes quickly.
Unfortunately, with no Discord, reduced chat activity, technical exhaustion, and the night simply feeling off, the stream wrapped up early at around the one-hour mark. Still, even in a rougher session, the unpredictable mix of chaos, humour, gunfights, and community banter captured exactly why these Red Dead streams remain such a fun ride.
The adventure ended with a raid into fellow streamer dashducks, sending what remained of the exhausted outlaw crew charging onward into another frontier.

The frontier doesn’t stop moving, even on the rough nights. Sometimes the plan falls apart, the gear fights back, and the wilderness takes more than it gives. But the road keeps calling all the same.
Until next time, keep your revolver close and watch the tree line. Out there, trouble is always waiting.
