Construction Simulator | Ep. 30 – Concrete Pump vs Me, Round 12

Back on site—and this time, it’s personal.

What should have been a straightforward construction job quickly turned into a stubborn battle against machinery that refuses to behave. Even before the engines start, there’s a sense that something is off… like the site itself is daring us to try again.

Despite not being at full strength, this episode leans into resilience. It’s not about perfection—it’s about pushing forward, adapting, and finding a way to win… even when the concrete pump has other ideas.

⚠️ About the Game

Construction Simulator drops you into the boots of a construction contractor tasked with building everything from small jobs to massive infrastructure projects.

With over 70 machines at your disposal, the game promises precision, planning, and steady progress.

In reality? It often becomes a test of patience, coordination, and sheer determination as physics—and occasionally logic—decide to take a day off.

🧭 Where We Are in the Journey

Episode 30 finds us deep into the ongoing build of a museum extension—a project that’s already proven more troublesome than expected.

This isn’t early-game learning anymore. We’re in the thick of it, juggling complex machinery and tighter requirements, where even small mistakes can spiral into full-blown chaos.

And at the center of it all? The concrete pump. Still undefeated.

🔥 What Happens in This Episode

This stream wasn’t meant to be a long one—but it was never going to be a quiet one either.

Fighting through coughing, a fading voice, and ribs that clearly weren’t on board with the plan, the goal was simple: make progress, even if it was just a little. But before any work truly began, there was something important to unveil—a brand new anthem born from frustration and experience: “Curse You, Concrete Pump!”.

And honestly? It felt earned.

With Mr Smith joining the site, the plan shifted into a two-person operation. While he wrangled the ever-temperamental concrete pump, I took on the role of supply line—driving back and forth to the depot, hauling concrete in the mixer truck like a lifeline keeping the whole operation moving.

For a while, things almost felt… stable.

Almost.

Because it wasn’t long before the machinery reminded us who was really in charge. The concrete pump, as always, had its own interpretation of how things should work. Arms refused to cooperate, positioning became a puzzle, and the physics danced just on the edge of disaster. Trucks wobbled, moments teetered dangerously close to tipping, and the build site became a stage for controlled chaos.

And then came the moment.

When the mixer truck refused to dispense into the dedicated concrete pump using the discharge chute—as it absolutely should have—it forced a rethink. A normal solution wasn’t going to cut it.

So instead, we leaned into ingenuity.

Extending the boom arm of the mixer truck, carefully positioning it, and routing the flow through a completely unintended method, we made it work. As declared live on stream:

“It’s an ingenious solution to a problem that should never have existed in the first place.”

And somehow… it worked.

From there, momentum carried us forward. Concrete sections began to fill in, progress ticked along, and for a brief moment, it felt like we had finally gained the upper hand against the cursed contraption.

Chat, of course, was loving every second of it.

Running jokes about “concrete vs doctor” kept the energy high, while the new song quickly became a fan-favourite rally cry. Between laughs, mini-games, and the usual chaos, the stream felt less like a struggle—and more like a shared battle everyone was invested in winning.

But the voice had other plans.

As the final sections of concrete were completed, it was clear the stream was reaching its limit. One last push saw four packages craned into place—precision work to close out the session—and with that, the job (for now) was done.

A quick wrap-up followed, voice barely holding on… and just to keep things interesting, the game crashed right at the end.

Of course it did.

We closed out the night with a raid over to SargentRusty, that will sadly be the last time we ever go anywhere near his channel.

🌌 Closing Thoughts

Some battles aren’t about winning cleanly.

Sometimes, it’s about holding the line, adapting under pressure, and finding a way through the chaos—one improvised solution at a time.

The concrete pump may still stand… but we’re not done yet.
