Greetings Space Cadets, here is one that was almost late. Today I have had my car, my Mazda 6 TS2 Auto for 6 years, do you think I should treat it to some 97 for her Birthday. 6 years ago today I picked up my shinny new car with only 12 miles on the clock.

I’ve been on countless expeditions with my Mazda named Ravenholm for an awesome location outside of City17. I’ve been all across the country, endured several disasters from a nail in my tyre to having to dig two 300m tracks in the snow and ice in the dark to rescue me car with only an ice scraper for my windscreen.

I’ve been collecting statistics on this car since day one, and I have some of the highlights for you here. Lets get the one for the ECO nuts out of the way first with the fuel and CO2 stats for 6 years of owning my Mazda from new.

Thats almost 15 TONs of CO2 from 7400 Litres of Petrol across 45000 miles, and given the current fuel prices and my calculated engine efficiency based on all the statistics I have gathered it costs me £0.21 per mile in petrol. I could go in to a lot more details but I have not got my computer where I gather all my data to hand.

Next up lets take a look and the other costs for running my car. Note General expenses here cover Services that I have every year, MOTs, A19 parking permit (TAX) any and all parts labour and other items such as de-icer’s scrapers, cleaning materials, etc.

Now for the piece of the puzzle the total I have spent only Mazda 6 over 7 years.

£38,000 over 7 years to run and operate my Mazda 6.
