Construction Simulator | Ep. 41 – Nothing’s More Permanent Than a Temporary Barrier
Back to the construction site where today’s “temporary” solutions may well become permanent landmarks. As always, we’ll be building, digging, and hoping everything stays upright.
Some construction jobs are defined by towering cranes or spectacular engineering. Others are defined by one stubborn machine that refuses to cooperate. This episode quickly becomes a battle against the now-legendary Cursed Concrete Pump, where every apparent victory reveals yet another section demanding another load of what chat affectionately dubbed “custard.”
With the Transport Links campaign edging towards another milestone, the train station is finally within touching distance of completion. Getting there, however, proves to be every bit as chaotic, entertaining, and surprisingly funny as Construction Simulator always manages to be.
🚧 About the Game
Construction Simulator returns bigger than ever, putting you behind the controls of more than 70 officially licensed construction vehicles across two expansive maps. From excavators and cranes to concrete pumps and heavy transport, every project presents its own logistical challenges while steadily growing your construction empire.
Whether you’re playing solo or with friends, every contract brings new machinery to master, larger projects to complete, and plenty of opportunities for unexpected chaos when the equipment decides it has a personality of its own.
🚉 Where We Are in the Journey
Episode 41 continues our ongoing Transport Links campaign as we work towards bringing the new train station into operation. After several previous episodes laying the foundations, installing structural components, and preparing the site, this stream focuses on finally completing the station itself.
With this contract reaching its conclusion, we’re also preparing to move on to an entirely new Transport Links project in the next episode, marking another major step forward in the series.
🏗️ What Happens in This Episode
The evening begins with the return of an old enemy—the infamous Cursed Concrete Pump. Freshly repaired and fuelled, it looks ready to help finish the station, but appearances can be deceiving. What should have been a straightforward final push soon turns into an endless cycle of loading concrete, driving back to site, carefully positioning the pump, and discovering yet another awkward section waiting to be filled.
Before long, the stream settles into a familiar rhythm. Concrete mixers shuttle back and forth carrying yet more “custard,” while the crane lifts additional preformed concrete sections and corrugated roof slats into place. Every completed pour seems to reveal another section demanding attention, leading to plenty of laughs as the joke that this should really be called Concrete Pouring Simulator feels increasingly accurate.
The greatest challenge isn’t mixing concrete—it’s persuading the enormous boom arm to line up with some remarkably awkward angles. Repositioning the pump becomes almost as common as actually pouring concrete, with the controls putting up a constant fight while chat enjoys every moment of the struggle. Rather than becoming frustrated, the stream embraces the absurdity, complete with repeated references to pumping custard and another appearance of the fan-favourite “Curse You, Concrete Pump!” song.
As construction continues, the community keeps the entertainment flowing. Viewers celebrate Vvoornth’s birthday, take part in a Hunger Games event, successfully pull off a community heist, and drift into conversations covering simulator games, television shows, conventions, and memories of other notoriously awkward titles. Naturally, there are also plenty of jokes about cement mixers that appear determined to ignore the laws of physics whenever they’re on the road.
After what feels like an endless procession of concrete deliveries, roof pours, and careful crane work, the station is finally completed. The finished structure, however, delivers one last surprise. What looked like it would become an impressive walkthrough station building instead turns out to be a rather solid block with no central passage at all—leaving everyone slightly underwhelmed after so much effort. Even so, another major Transport Links contract is successfully wrapped up, clearing the way for an entirely new construction project next week.
To round off another brilliant evening, we raided over to RTUStreams, keeping the community adventure going long after the last bucket of cursed concrete had finally been poured.
